Projects: Mail

The Mail team is working to achieve approximately $1,000,000 in annual cost savings through the implementation of a number of initiatives that were identified in the Governor's Fiscal Fitness Project including:

• Reducing the certified/return mail receipts
• Increasing the percentage of mail that receives a $.05 discount
• Reducing the outside delivery costs
• Consolidating the DHS and the Central Mail Facility
• Improved use of bar codes and other mail piece designs
