Introduction
A statewide effort is
beginning to help manage
projects more effectively
within all agencies, especially
IT porjects. MS Project
enables agencies to establish
standards and best practices,
centrally manage resources
based on skills and availibility,
and enable effective communication
and collaboration within
project teams. The project
managers and team leads
can efficiently organize
and track tasks and resources
to keeps your projects
on time and within budget.

Getting set up on Project
2003 Client of Project Web

Project Web Access (Team

- Call the Service Desk
at 574-9709.
- The Service Desk Technician
will run through a few
questions to make sure
your PC is adequate to
run PWA and a Service Desk
ticket will be created.
- The Service Desk Technician
will ask you what type
of environment of operating
system is running on your
PC. i.e. Windows 2000,
MAC OSX, Windows XP. If
it is a Windows environment,
the technician will ask
you for a windows ID and
password.
- We will get you set up
to the server with the
help of DoIT at DOA. You
will then be notified when
you are setup.
Client User - Project
Professional 2003 (Project
Managers)
- Call the Service Desk
at 574-9709.
- The Service Desk Technician
will run through a few
questions to make sure
your PC is adequate to
run Project Professional
2003. If not, an upgrade
to might be needed to be
purchased by your agency,
The Service Desk can forward
to you the proper specifications
if an upgrade is needed.
If the PC is fine the next
step can be done.
- The Service Desk Technician
will ask you what type
of environment of operating
system is running on your
PC. i.e. Windows 2000,
MAC OSX, Windows XP. If
it is a Windows environment,
the technician will ask
you for a windows ID and
password.
- Order software from ASAP
and configuration (MS Project
2003 Professional Version).
- Once the software is
received, the user or technician
in the agency can install
it on the PC. Once installed,
the user is all set to
work. Call the Service
Desk back to tell them
that the software has been
installed.
- We will then get the
user set up on the server
and we will notify you
when you are setup.
